Search SEO and AI discovery, together
Agentic Optimization adds a free local SEO editor and previews alongside clear, read-only public content for AI/SI assistants.
New in Free 1.4: edit, preview, review
Write a search title and description, choose a canonical URL, and set a noindex preference in the native WordPress editor. The local preview needs no external service, account or API key.
Clear search metadata
Use the Search SEO box on posts, pages and public custom content types. Prepare metadata with a new draft and review it before publishing. Updating a published item applies its metadata changes live.
WordPress core supplies title, canonical and robots tags. Agentic Optimization adjusts their values and adds one description when standalone mode owns output. Core post sitemaps exclude noindex/protected items and custom canonical destinations.
Readable public content for assistants
Publish llms.txt, optional extended context and ai.txt guidance, an agent discovery sitemap, clean Markdown and structured public REST/MCP reads. Optional WordPress Abilities can be exposed through the separately installed official MCP Adapter.
Private, draft and password-protected content stays excluded. Respect noindex is on by default, and discovery caches recheck eligible content before reusing formatting.

Free and Pro: what belongs where
Basic search SEO and public-content safety are complete in Free. Pro adds curation of agent-facing content and control over custom-type exposure in agent endpoints.

Start with the Free plugin
- Install Agentic Optimization on WordPress 6.9+ and PHP 8.2+.
- Open Settings → Agentic Optimization → SEO editor. Review output ownership and enable standalone SEO when appropriate.
- Edit a post or page, use Search SEO, review the preview and save through WordPress.
- Enable the public discovery/API surfaces you need. Optional Abilities/MCP stay separately controlled.
- Check the public page source and sitemap; purge host/CDN caches that override the response headers.
Scope and control
This is lightweight per-item SEO plus agent discovery. Search engines and assistants choose their own titles, snippets, canonicals and citations. The plugin makes no ranking or citation guarantee. Social cards, schema graphs and a full archive SEO suite are outside this release.
Public REST/MCP and native Abilities remain read-only. Manual SEO editing uses WordPress object permissions and an object-specific save nonce. No generic ability executor or remote SEO write tool is added.
